A Sea of Unspoken Things
by Adrienne Young
What I loved about The Unmaking of June Farrow was this author's ability to make me feel immersed in the atmosphere without taking away from the story itself. While Adrienne's descriptions of ambiance remain incredible throughout this book, I felt bogged down by it in the first half. I had a hard time staying connected to the characters at first. By the midway point, though, the story picked up and I couldn't put the book down. I even got teary-eyed by the end. While it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was still beautiful and I will definitely keep reading this author's work!
