This was an absolute masterpiece of a thriller. From start to finish I was on edge wondering what could possibly happen next.
Any thriller that takes place on a boat is immediately 100% is more nerve-wracking, sorry I don’t make the rules. If You Lie was no exception to the rule, and I wholeheartedly believe the overall setting brought tension and atmosphere to the plot. The boat was lush and the destination exotic but I absolutely always felt so nervous at what could happen next.
Okay listen, I know cult thrillers are starting to become almost too easy to read, but I promise this one is different and absolutely worth your time. You think “oh maybe it’s not so bad”- nope it 100% and you better keep reading to find out just how bad it gets 😂 I promise you that you won’t want to stop until you get to the end.
There was an incredible focus on family, forgiveness and loss. The touching scenes were unexpected but definitly tugged at my heart. The plot was well rounded and I’m happy to report that readers do get a sense of finalization at the end of the journey.
