The Last Party by Clare Mackintosh

Although this book starts off slowly, it eventually becomes a gripping page-turner about halfway through. Every character feels suspicious enough to be the killer, which kept me second-guessing the entire time. By the end, I wouldn't have been surprised if any of them had turned out to be the culprit. At one point, I even wondered if it might take a Murder on the Orient Express twist. Dee Huxley was definitely my favorite character—her no-nonsense attitude was a highlight! There’s one final twist at the end that has me curious to see if it will carry over into the next book. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing the series.
