If The Housemaid Is Watching were a TV show, it’d be the rerun you groan at but accidentally watch because the remote’s too far away. It’s basically the exact same plot as book one — just swap out the side characters, slap on a new title, and call it a day. Every “twist” is recycled, every moment of suspense is predictable, and the déjà vu is so strong I started checking to see if my Kindle had glitched and re-downloaded the first book. At this point, Freida could write The Housemaid Bakes a Cake and it would still follow the same tired formula.
I’m just praying The Boyfriend and The Locked Door don’t suffer the same fate.
