I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read and definitely felt like I was watching a Tik Tok feud take place in realtime - petty, dramatic, and about as high school as grown adults can be. I have little insight into the publishing world, so it was fascinating to see one (perhaps, warped?) perspective. The end felt a little too obvious a direction and relied on some tired tropes. BUT, that being said, I thought it was a great, quick summer read.
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Panic attacks/disorders, Racism, Cultural appropriation, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship
Moderate: Xenophobia, Colonisation, Classism
