 i’ve loved and devoured the percy jackson series since i was 11, so to read the last page of this book left me in tears. apollo’s character development - becoming closer with his friends, willing to sacrifice himself to save the places he came to care about - was so heart-warming to read. every supporting character was so loveable, it’s even a struggle to hate the villains when the fight scene is encapsulated in disco lights, ironic music and hilarious methods of combat. the atmosphere that rick creates is something you want to be involved in, no matter what age, and i can’t recommend the series enough.
