I loved this book. It dealt with such a taboo subject and in a tasteful, beautiful way too. I loved the fact that it was set in Britain as I feel like I can identify with the setting a lot more. We can see from the start that Lochan and Maya's relationship is doomed. I loved how this morphed into dealing with neglect to dealing with incest and of course I knew it was coming. Although what I didn't expect was for their love to be so pure. I had imagined it to be portrayed as dirty and wrong but it was so beautiful and desperate, just two young people struggling with day to day life. The ending though, I can't even talk about. I cried for hours. When he was leaning out the window though I knew in my heart he wasn't trying to escape, and that was the worst part about it.
