Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

5.0

I face such difficulty writing about this book. I got this feeling that I will reap of some of its beauty if I try writing about it. However, I will try to do my best.
I know how the description of this book sounds; like a stupid Harlekin that will make you wanting to throw up in your mouth. Just give me a minute.
This was one of these rare occasions where it happens to watch the movie, before reading the book. That mostly happens due to the fact that I don’t do my research on new books coming out. The movie was amazing. Great shots, great actors, doing their very best. Later, I realized that it was pretty similar to the book; there were just a few things that were overlooked.
When I started reading the book, I didn’t know what to expect. In my experience, usually, when a movie is too good, the book is just meh ( Just like with The Fault in Our stars)
This was not the case.
However, I started the reading with a positive attitude. And ohh, boy.
The descriptions and the general information we receive about the characters, their frame of mind and mentality are great.Every reaction, every word and behavior has a back ground in order to happen. Also, I really liked the fact that due to the first- person narration that is being used, we receive the world through Luisa (a simple, every-day, practical girl) and the descriptions are short and sharp. Their length and sharpness are just as much as it is need in order for us to get some information about the place and moment all of these is happening, while identifying with Luisa is inevitable.
