The concept was interesting but I felt a lot of things about the Scythedom/post-mortal world poorly justified and couldn't suspend my disbelief for a lot of the decisions that moved the plot forward. It wasn't until I was in the middle that I realized it's a YA novel, so maybe I'm asking too much of it 🤷🏻‍♀️ if I had read this when I was fifteen I probably would have loved it but as is not sure I'll finish the series.
