As We Are is the fifth book in The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Mills Aldridge was a professional hockey player, but an injury caused him to take a step back. Now he’s back in Baker’s Creek, raising his son, and trying to solve the mystery his father left behind with his brothers.

Hadley Heywood left Baker’s Creek, but after her ex cheated, she made rash decisions, quit her job, and returned to the small town. Now she needs to help her mom with the bakery and get a job. So, she ends up nannying for Mills.

Mills never wanted to get attached to a woman, especially because of Arden, his son. But it was love at first sight…for Arden. His instant attachment to Hadley was just so adorable. And I loved how Hadley was so sweet and kind to him. Also, Hadley and Mills really got to know each other, and they helped each other heal.

This was another great story in the Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers series. The brothers are uncovering more and more about their father’s past, and I’m excited to find out what their father’s story really is.

Narrators: Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke
Style: Dual

It’s no surprise that the narrators did an excellent job on this story. Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke just nailed their performances, and their “kid voice” was great!
