Ok, wow.
Listen, I love these people, they have my heart. They make me laugh as no one else can, and I can fully relate to limiting my sense of humor to sex jokes.
However, if someone asked me, what happens in this book? I´d be like: Uh... they go on a quest... and they keep on going to said quest.
I know that´s the whole ordeal of a fantasy novel, and that´s why I´m not a huge fan of the genre. But I am a big fan of TJ Klune, love the versatility of his stories and his characters. And Sam is a protagonist like no other.
The 3-star rating comes from the fact that this book felt like introductory to the rest of the saga, which is odd considering it´s book #2. Looking back, The Lightning-Struck Heart is almost like a prologue... a 400+ page prologue.
Now I kind of know where the saga is going... I think. I do hope book #3 picks up the pace, though.
