I'm really not enjoying my reread of this series as much as I'd hoped I would.

In addition to the poor treatment of King in the first book, we now have repeated association of bi/lesbian = vampire, and some outright abusive crap ("I hit you because you were asking for it.") And none of this has been necessary to the story, Roberts very easily could have just... Not. It's very frustrating, and not nearly the character building I expect from her.
