I have such contradicting thoughts about this book. I like the way it started it out. Jealousy, envy- the horrors of social media but it could have easily gone down the route of actually exploring the weird world of influencing and how it affects white people vs people of colour. The kind of things it propagates from mental health issues to eating disorders to exploiting children. There was so much to do. Instead it

took a turn to get into a weird cult plotline. I mean instead of sacrificing to a weird deity they could have had an mlm plotline but noooo the belladonnas are a fucking cult.

but I liked the ending? The way bad people are always gonna have weird para social relationships and what not. It tried so hard to be yellow face but hit none of the marks.
