I’m gonna start off by saying I cannot believe a woman wrote this. It wasn’t that it was overly misogynistic but it just felt like a man wrote it.
This book was definitely a soap opera from start to finish. It wasn’t my thing and most of the characters were annoying. Why didn’t Rachel confront her husband as soon as she had evidence of him cheating? It was so drug out and the ending was so insane to me. It really went from an affair to straight murder in the very last moments of the story. It was like the author said “Hmmm spicy but it could be SPICIER” then lit it on fire. ALSO I hate stories where the ending is like nothing ever happened. This woman’s best friend was murdered by her husband after she found out they were having an affair and life just went on as normal? I get after some point you move on but it was what, a year? And she’s giggling about dating her dead friend’s ex-husband??
This is why I stick to YA fiction!!!
