I'm local to Cleveland and followed this story from when these girls first went missing. I mention that because I thought by the time this book came out, I had heard it all. I was wrong.
Amanda, Gina, and their editors did an incredible job of blending their own separate stories, their combined experiences, and background information to create a full picture of what happened. It's a tough read, especially if you're not as familiar with their stories. But the overall tone isn't one of shock value, but rather it is one of inspiration and, as the title says, hope.
