Barbarian's Choice by Ruby Dixon

Loved this!

The lore, the relationship and the tough choice to make!

The worst thing about the book was Madok’s shipmates. Jeez, they were the worst. In the beginning I thought I might like Niri in the beginning because she seemed to care about Madok, but her coldness and unwillingness to help Harlow when she passed out? Nope. Don’t like her. The rest of the shipmates aren’t much better but I guess everyone has a little good in them. Niri does end up helping Harlow and Lilah. Trakan inadvertently sparks a reason for Madok to stay. The captain respects Vektal and in their own way they thought they were helping by offering to take everyone away.

But they were so judgmental and looked down on everyone. The ship members were like a 10x worse version of people in silly shows like 90 day fiancé who marry someone from another country and look down on everything in the culture and make no attempt to learn about the way of life of the person they claim to love.

Anyway, ending this on a good note I enjoyed finding out more about where the SaKhui came from, and I’m glad Harlow is okay.
