The Bellwether Revivals by Benjamin Wood
4.0
My immediate emotion upon finishing this book: sadness.
Obviously, this gets compared to The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I think I prefer the singular "descent into madness" via music that's presented in this book instead of the collective descent via ancient philosophies that's presented in Tartt's book. Although, I will say I found Tartt's characters more interesting and compelling than Wood's.
Either way, comparisons aside, this was an intriguing read!
