This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2021, a book I was excited and terrified to read, the conclusion to one of my absolute favorite series, and I’m glad to say that it didn’t disappoint. As soon as I started reading, I was re-immersed into the story, and it felt like I’d never left. I didn’t want to do anything except read, and when I had to put the book down, all I could think about was picking it up again. I love the L’Eden crew with my whole entire heart, and although The Silvered Serpents is my favorite in the trilogy, I loved this book. Roshani Chokshi took the story in some unexpected directions, and filled the pages with puzzles, angst, pain, and some humor too. Everything was perfectly done, even the ending, bittersweet as it was. It’s four in the morning and my brain is too mushy for me to say much more, but I’ll be thinking about this story, these characters, for a long time. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Chokshi writes next, and what new ways she comes up with to warm my heart and crush my soul. :))

Laila dying was the ONE THING I didn’t want to happen, above all else, so of course she died. I’m not sure who’s more devastated, me or Séverin. 😭

I’m so happy he adopted those two boys!! I didn’t expect that, but that was such a cute little addition that I’m so here for!! 🥺

You know what else I’m here for? The polyam relationship!!! It didn’t happen until the very end, but Zofia, Enrique and Hypnos all ended up together and that’s the ONE THING I really, really wanted. I’M SO HAPPY FOR THEM. 😍

But I did not expect Séverin to outlive the trio, or for the final pages to mention them dying??? Rude???? 😢

It was mostly made up for when he came home and found Laila waiting for him!! “‘Hello, Majnun.’” !!!!!! MY HEART. 🥺🥺
