the way that the narrator sounded in this particular edition sounded almost impersonal, like i think the goal of a good audiobook is to feel connected, like to really feel like a friend is telling you the tea of what’s going on their life, this edition it kinda had parts to where it felt like someone was reading a book to me rather than telling me a story from their memory, like when i listened to that particular edition of gone girl, it felt like two friends ranting to me and telling me all the tea of their marriage rather than two people reading a book to me, and so because i think this is such a major flaw i’m gonna have to take a star off.
