Why do so many middle grades rely on people not listening to the main characters so heavily for the story flow. Also really fucking pissed about Tamara turning around and immediately telling on col as soon as he confided in her and then that was almost immediately glossed over. Like what the fuck, that was a huge breach of trust and both showed her lack of trust in him and her trust worthiness and then she had the gall to be upset at the end that he didn't tell them he was the Constantine. Like bitch what? That is called the consequences of your actions, you sewed that doubt into him. It was extraordinarily frustrating to the point of it pulling from the plot.
