gadrake 's review for:
Every Crooked Nanny
by Kathy Hogan Trocheck
First book in a cozy mystery series. In a nutshell, it is light, humorous, and likeable though not necessarily memorable. Has a Southern flavor to it. Some minor passages do not portray lesbians (hard edged with no emotions)nor African American women (house cleaners, garbage scavengers) very favorably. For that matter, even caucasian women were depicted as either racist, marrying men for their money, conniving, and just plain nasty. There are 8 books in the series.
