To be honest, I’d give this book 4.5 stars but want to acknowledge that rating is very specific to someone like me: in her late 20s, single, with a massive travel itch, and who likes to imagine herself falling in love with the 29 year old-ish guy waiting at my airport gate. I also have a high affinity and tolerance for comedy writer humor and talk too much. Honestly, I was this book’s target audience to a T - I absolutely binged it and am minutes away from booking a flight for my next adventure. And while, yes, many of the stories center around foreign lovers, they more importantly reminded me that travel, especially solo or friend travel, highlights the best and worst of us so that we always come back a little more self-aware and grounded.
