Twice Shy by Sarah Hogle
4.0
This book was pretty cute. The plot was great. Maybell and Wesley were both very fun, developed characters. Wesley reminded me of my boyfriend in terms of how much of a recluse and anti-people, pro-nature he is :) ;) and Maybell reminded me of me.... how much she wanted to pore through every item in the manor... how she squished her true feelings and thoughts inside when she was upset. I feel that dawg.
Wesley is this introverted, reclusive, handsome ninja whose personality does not bloom until about halfway through the book, so keep at it. He's incredibly adorable and wholesome once he opens up.
The only gripe I really have with this book, is that when Maybell is daydreaming and fantasizing (as she often does), it isn't broken apart from reality at all. Not italicized, not a separate chapter, not even a little scene break with a ~ . It really confused me at first.
I really liked the ending - all-encompassing, succinct and didn't leave a stone unturned.
