Couldn't really focus on the actual story much because it was so horribly sexist all the way through - both the misogynistic main character himself and the rubbish one-dimensional characterisation. Would have been one star but half way through I was thinking the only possible thing that could redeem it would be if the women turned out to have been behind it all in some way, and they kind of were? It also got a little bit less dull towards the end, although I didn't really appreciate the 'she failed to shoot him and then got so scared she had an epileptic seizure and wet herself' thing. Honestly the whole book just left a bad taste in my mouth
