Close to Home: A Materialist Analysis of Women's Oppression by Christine Delphy

5.0

An outstanding analysis of women's oppression. I particularly appreciated how Delphy attributes it as an external phenomena, one that is rooted in the social rather than natural sphere. I also found its consideration of women in marriage as being exploited for their unpaid labor, which may not be considered as such in the Marxist tradition, very illuminating. All in all a good example of materialist feminism.
