What I loved about this book is that it gave us a cast of characters to follow including the character of Alastair/Rick and it definitely is reminiscent of real world headlines. People like that exist out there, taking advantage of, using others, inflicting severe psychological and physical damage on others. Narcissists. So it was very believable that this character floated through the pages using every woman he could and becoming everything they needed him to be in order to hook them. I loved Ash’s character. Towards the end I did feel like the group of people confronting him was not realistic nor was him disappearing into the water and then appearing safe and sound and ready to resume his ways. But still, it was a thrilling ride!
