I was passionately in love with the first season of Alice Isn't Dead back when it first came out, and I always meant to go back to it (and I will, on God, I will!) but never did. I'm afraid that the book didn't come close to hitting the way the podcast did, though I listened to the audiobook and Jasika Nicole's narration is impeccable. To me it didn't manage to reproduce the slow, anxiety-inducing rhythm of the podcast, and though I'm trying to judge it on its own, it was too rushed for me. It did make me want to pick up the podcast again, which is a win!
