Outrun the Wind by Elizabeth Tammi

4.0

~REVIEW🖋~
The quick and dirty: It is the reimagining of badass huntress Atalanta's story with a very different and happier ending.

Going into this and knowing the basic premise of Atalanta's story, I was expecting the book to be more of a "womp womp" bummer type of story, because that's what the original Atalanta's story is, but was pleasantly surprised. Elizabeth Tammi's reimagining of this story with the introduction of Kahina was brilliant. The writing was descriptive and the characters compelling. The changes made to the original story didn't stray too far that you wouldn't recognize it but the author still managed to make the story her own. If you like greek mythology but want a happy ending (or at least the illusion that there is the possibility of one) this is the book for you.
