Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare
5.0

I finished this book shortly before getting to meet the author, Adam Cesare, at The Garden District Book Shop and then seeing the film adaptation CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD at The Overlook Film Festival with him and director Eli Craig in attendance. The film was screened at The Prytania Theatre Uptown.

At the author’s event I had the chance to ask Adam Cesare what one of his favorite kills was in his book. He mentioned Matt’s death and that a kill from TROMEO & JULIET is a film reference he likes for it. During the Q&A after the film screening, I also got to ask Eli Craig what his favorite kill was in the book and he told me that he enjoyed Dr. Weller’s body being discovered by Glenn Maybrook surrounded by rotten corn, rats, and bugs.

Thank you to The Overlook Film Festival, The Prytania Theatres, The Garden District Book Shop, Shudder, RLJE Films, Adam Cesare, and Eli Craig.

Go buy this book and see CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, in theaters May 9! And also buy all of Adam Cesare’s other works, especially the 2 Clown in a Cornfield sequels already released! Adam Cesare is currently writing the fourth book.

Frendo the clown is destined to become a horror icon.
