The Firekeeper's Son by Linda Sue Park

4.0

A story telling of the Korean fire message system to the King from the past (1800's) - it takes the system and puts it into the lives of a father and his son, and tells of what needs to be done, it is about duty and relationship between father and son.
Very weak written and illustrated, and the notes at the end Gove more detail about this interesting part in Korean history.
Another book in the Asian Pacific American literary award winner list.
