This was quite a different read for me but I ended up really enjoying it. It’s a good choice for spooky season. It was beautifully written and I loved the pace of the story and he played out. Considering it was only about 300 pages it felt like a lot longer and not in a bad way. My heart hurt for Olivia and how she was treated by everything, I was happy for her to finally start to become happy and find connections with people. I loved the diary enters and drawings that were included, it really helped visualise things even more. I really enjoyed the mystery side to this story. This was my first book by V.E Schwab and I have a few more on my shelves that I will definitely be picking up sooner now
