Journalist Cecily Wong is in over her head. This book felt that it was about mountain climbing first and a thriller second. I would have much preferred a book about someone really coming into their own through the life changing experience of climbing this mountain than having a book with such a scattered plot. .I also wasn’t a big fan of any of the characters and felt the only one that was reasonably developed was Cecily. The pacing was also so slow and boring. This book just didn't live up to taking my breath away. I thought it had much potential but it ended up being underwhelming.
