We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

4.0

This text is more of an essay than a book - given its broad popularity, I was somewhat surprised by its brevity. I think Adichie is particularly effective in her exploration of what feminism means to her and in her telling of sexist incidents in her life. In the best way possible, We Should All Be Feminists feels like it is driven more by anecdotes than facts; it derives its power from the vivid emotions - anger, sorrow, and hope, among many others - Adichie brings to it. We Should All Be Feminists is concise, intelligent, and definitely worth reading.
