I Kissed an Earl by Julie Anne Long

2.0

I nearly DNF this book because I was SO bored. But in the end I definitely would have kissed this Earl. Swoon. The premise is that the heroin finds herself on a ship with hot hero in a quest for her brother who went missing the year before. The hero is also looking for her brother - but so he can send him to the gallows. I kept going with the book because I'd just come off inhaling a fantasy/romance series and needed some 'easy' reading. ANYWAY. It definitely got better as the book continued and towards the end I couldn't put it down. But there wasn't really a lot of character development for Asher - we didn't get into his head at all. I could have bumped it up a star for thay because their romance was good and steamy and exactly what I needed. In the end their relationship came to a conclusion ridiculously fast. He just emphatically gave up his adventurous life. Not sure I got it.
