The Covenant of the Crown by Howard Weinstein

2.0

One of those short reads that's is a slog to get through. Spock is characterized well. Bones is stretched a bit for the sake of the plot. Elements of the story would have fit in well with the TOS. It feels a bit like "The World is Hollow" meets "Fridays Child" meets "Galileo 7". But the business with this crown needed to save some planet... zzzzz.... Crazy how overly sexualized women are in these novels, too. Uhura barely makes an appearance, yet her "voluptuous body" needs to be described to the reader. Lol
