I read the first four of these in an afternoon at my friend Beth's, who had borrowed the graphic novels from the library. I've never touched the books and I do not plan to. The writing is sub-par, Max is ridiculously overpowered, Fang is far too two dimensional, in fact, all of the characters are. Their powers make no sense, the way their wings are hidden makes no sense, and, frankly, they just weren't good. I don't know why I read all four, probably because I was bored. But I'm glad that's over.
