The Exchange is a sequel of sorts to The Firm. Mitch and Abbey are now living in NYC with two boys. Mitch is a lawyer at a high-power law firm. He is asked to go to Libya for a legal matter. He takes a long an associate from London, who gets kidnapped.
I usually love a John Grisham book, but was somewhat disappointed in The Exchange. I was expecting to see Mitch, who I will always picture as Tim Cruise, in a huge legal battle in court. Instead, I got a book about trying to free an associate. It just wasn't the usual Grisham book. I couldn't get attached to any of the characters, bc they were only there for a bit. I listened to The Exchange, maybe if I had read it, it would have been better. Though, there was no court battle, it was an okay book.
😊 Happy Reading 😊
