Finley by Ella Frank
4.0

ARC received for an honest review

I may have done the "Carlton" when I woke up to find Finley waiting on my kindle. A new m/m romance from Ella Frank is a joy!

I admit that I didn't remember Finn from the Temptation series - though he really did only play a small, small part in Logan and Tate's story. But even if you haven't read Try/Take/Trust (why haven't you?) it doesn't matter.

Oh Brantley and Finn - how I adored you. I love a good second chance romance, and that is exactly what you got with Finley.

7 years down the track from their breakup, Brantley contacts Finn and tells him to come home.

And from there on, things heat up - and not just because they are in Florida.

The best thing about their story is that they didn't just jump back into bed with each other, everything forgiven. There was anger, hurt, trust that needed to be regained. And as much as there was heat and sparks between them, their "re-relationshipping" was a slow burn (even though I really really really wanted them to get to the sexy times!)

There was just one problem I had with Finley. I had trouble with which character was talking to us at the time. I had to go back over what I had just read to see who's POV we were in. I normally don't have that problem with the differeing POV's but this time they just didn't have distinct enough voices that I could determine who's head I was in.

There are some great secondary characters - who I am hoping hoping hoping are going to be our leading men in the next book - Jordan and Derek. It sure does seem that their story is going to be interesting.

Finley is a steamy, beautiful story of love, the one that got away, the one that came back. I enjoyed it from the first word to the last, and can't wait to see what the next book brings us.

Please Ms Frank, let it be Jordan and Derek!
