Somewhere - Women's Stories of Migration by Lorna Jane Harvey

4.0

"I believe that it's not the town, city or country where I live that matters much, but rather the way I view my life. I think how we perceive events is more important than the events themselves, and I have learned to see the positive in whatever situation I find myself in." pg.45 from Shaping Movement

~THOUGHTS~
Migration is a wonderful, relevant collection of essays from women around the globe candidly sharing their experience and perspective on migration. Their heartache, loneliness, sorrow, alienation and hope. Reading about these women's strength and courage as they endured the upheaval of migrating to new communities, then struggling to Identify and belong was so inspiring and moving. I hadn't heard of any of these authors before but enjoyed each and every one of their voices and what they offered to the collection.
