Everyone who can read this book should read this book. (i.e. if you can take descriptions of violence, sexual violence, and sexual harrassment.)
You can't even compare this with other YA capital-F Feminist books (read: ~issue~ books), like Wrecked or Moxie, because this blows them out of the water. Those are good books. This one has teeth, and it digs in – to its characters, to its setting (brilliantly rendered small town), to society, to you as a reader –and rips out viscera.
