gleeson builds the atmosphere of the island so well, it is basically its own character. loved the coven of the iníons. the distinct characters, and the divisions about how to carry their group forward reminded me a lot of the film(s) suspiria. however the addition of perspectives of the two male characters seemed unnecessary. i wished the time spent on them had instead been used to flesh out more of the iníons and nell’s interactions with them.
