Greek Lessons by Han Kang

Deceptively dense for how slim it is. I came away with the sense a lot of the 'purpose' went over my head. It's an allegory? A meditation? As intriguing as the characters were, as compelling as their challenges... it felt cold. I wasn't expecting them to 'fix' each other, and the connection that develops between them feels real, but... something was lacking. I suppose there's an inherent difficulty in trying to show that meaningful connection when one character is mostly inward and non responsive.
The poetry of the images couldn't quite carry it over the mark for me.
