Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century by Alice Wong

5.0

I love collections of essays or short stories on most topics, so the format made this especially impactful. I don't know that I've learned this much from a single book in years! I loved the range of topics, because it broadened my knowledge and worldview in a way a deep dive into one particular story couldn't have. Just as with any collection, some pieces were more affecting than others, but I wouldn't change a single piece if asked to edit. (Which I wasn't, of course.) I cannot recommend this enough.
