Snapped by Laura Griffin

"I know," he said. "I heard you the first time"

Squeeee!! I loved this book, though that's probably not a surprise to yall at this point.

I don't know how she does, but Laura ratchets up the intensity with each book. Snapped starts off at a college campus shooting, and quickly turns into something far more sinister.

Sophie has already been through hell once, and is not thrilled to be stuck in the center of all this chaos again. But what SMPD doesn't realize, is that it will be Sophie that blows this case wide open for them.
All the key players from previous books are here as well, but this twisted tale focuses on Sophie, Jonah, and "new" cops Sean Byrne and Allison Doyle; a petty theft officer at the wrong place at the wrong time... Or the right place, depending on your outlook.

This story inspires a touch of girl power, and reinforces following your gut instinct. It was pretty cool to see two unassuming women kick ass and take names, while being doubted more often than not by the male population.

It should come as no surprise that I highly recommend this book, as well as the three preceding and the 9th book in this series. (I read the 9th first- and loved it).
