I can’t stress enough my love for the idea that brought us book 1, but I feel like it should have ended with a happy epilogue, not continue on to two other books that aren’t very good.

I’m not gonna mention anything about the plot besides the fact that the ending was somewhat satisfying, but is definitely open in case she wants to go back to that world. Which if she does, I will not read it. I’m done with this series and any spinoffs that might occur. It also seemed as if Crewe didn’t really know how she wanted to end the series since there isn’t much detail. I know endings can be tough but they don’t have to be bad.

The rest of the plot just dragged on and on. Details that I think should have been given more attention were hardly acknowledged, while Skylar and Win’s feelings towards each other took up pages! This is supposed to be sci-fi, not romance.

There’s no real character development besides a few supporting characters like Jule and Evan. The only thing that Skylar figured out were her feelings, which I didn’t really care about because I couldn’t connect with her.

I would not recommend this series at all even if the covers are very nice.
