Not Goodreads force closing the app as I was writing this review and making me retype everything. Anywho. This book was a nostalgia reread. It’s a book that has feelings that I identified with as a seventh grader some 10-11 years ago. This book is now filed with 13 reasons why and that it gave me a name for my sad feelings, but doesn’t do much else. Both stories revolve around the aftermath of someone taking their life to some extent and bullying. It’s a halfway decent story. It could be better but again it was published in 2012, 5 years after 13 reasons why did. Both try to shed light on serious problems facing teens but both fumble and stumble in execution.
