I liked a lot of things about this book- the character development, finally seeing the repercussions of Ruby's choice made at the end of the last novel, and the overall plot being revealed. I'm hoping things go well in the next novel between Liam and Ruby. I'm rooting for them so hard.
However, I think this book was a lot less exciting than the first. I'm all for prolonging the reveal of certain characters, but gosh it felt like forever until Liam and Clancy made their reappearance. I also think in general that the whole "turning teenagers into secret agents" trope is so overdone. Gah I don't know, I just wasn't a fan of it in this particular novel.
Overall, awesome book and can't wait to read the next!
