Second Chance Summer
by Morgan Matson
At first I thought this book was a bit slow. I felt that it took a while for everything to actually happen. Like her love with Henry. I just had hoped it would've happened sooner. But besides that I really enjoyed this novel. I don't know what has been going on but the last 3 books I've read have made me cry including this one. I was balling my eyes out as I was reading the last 3 or 4 chapters. After reading this I felt like I really connected with Taylor and her father. Having her lose him really hit me hard. You really got to know what kind of person he was. And the letters he gave her at the end was so thoughtful and kind, I just burst into tears. Wow I'm rambling but I really loved this book. Even Gelsey was a unique character and don't forget about Warren and his facts and his awkwardness around Wendy.
But something that really sticks with me is Murphy. I loved that dog. He was so attached to Taylor's dad. It made me feel so sorey for him as well.
