Amelia Unabridged by Ashley Schumacher

This book wasn't perfect, but it was raw. The emotion that Amelia felt after her best friend, Jenna, died is real and so well-written. The grieving process she goes through where she's tired of living in someone's shadow and the expectations others have set for her is real.

The flaw I have is the quick romance that occured between Amelia and Nolan. I wish there was more of a building of friendship first. I think that they can show the relationship building slower as friends. It seems like they found each other and then immediately became attached. Almost like Amelia jumped from being Jenna's plus one to Nolan's.

But this book was very good and I enjoyed the story. I do think it's an important book for anyone that has lost someone, especially in the YA realm.
