Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson
5.0
Bryan Stevenson started a not-for-profit law agency for inmates with no representation. This is a book about many clients he has had over the years who were wrongfully convicted, or underage and placed in adult facilities, or who received cruel and excessive punishments. There are depressing bits and it's easy to get bogged down in the information and a system that is a far cry from what it needs to be. But there are also hopeful bits, funny bits, and parts that make your heart full. Hopefully, there are also parts that make you want to do a little to "beat the drum of justice."
